Robert E. Lyon and Christa Kerrigan Become Part Owners of Waldon Studio Architects

Lyon and Kerrigan join President Ravi Waldon as partial owners

April 9, 2019 (Columbia, Md.) – Waldon Studio Architects (WSA) Principal and Director of Operations Robert E. Lyon and WSA Principal and Director of Business Development Christa Kerrigan have acquired partial ownership of Waldon Studio Architects.

WSA was founded to serve and strengthen the community through creative design. Through its consultative and collaborative approach, the firm believes that architecture has the power to create positive change, enrich lives and elevate purpose. It is headquartered in Columbia, Md. with offices in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore City.

Robert E. Lyon (Bob) joined the WSA team in 2014 and has over 27 years of experience as an Architect, leading project teams of architects and engineers through design and construction of educational, institutional, performing arts, libraries, community centers, retail and housing projects. He has received 21 design awards from the American Institute of Architects and Maryland Historic Trust.  In his role with the firm, Bob oversees all of WSA’s business operations and serves as a technical, training and quality assurance resource for WSA staff. As part of this effort, Bob has helped to develop the WSA Project Management Procedures Guide, which outlines all processes necessary for successful project delivery.

Christa Kerrigan joined WSA in 2011 and initially served as a Senior Project Manager and Sector Leader in WSA’s K-12 Education Studio. In 2016, she was promoted to Director of Business Development, where she oversees strategic planning and the firm’s business development pursuits for continued growth and expansion. Kerrigan continues to manage the K-12 design studio at WSA and has experience with a variety of educational and municipal new construction and renovation projects, leading every stage of the design. Christa’s passion for unearthing the true essence of her client’s mission and underlining those values in her work allow her to create intuitive spaces that inspire excitement and evoke curiosity of the users.

“I am incredibly pleased to welcome Christa and Bob into ownership with WSA,” says Ravi Waldon, AIA, LEED, BD+C, NCARB, founder and principal at WSA. “Their talents not only help us continue to achieve success, but they model Waldon’s mission of service. We believe that great architecture has the power to inspire and contribute to a better world. Christa and Bob work toward that goal with great enthusiasm every day.”
