Cornerstone Assembly of God

WSA provided the master plan, design, and construction documents for this 70,000sf addition and renovation project, which sits on ten-acres in Prince George’s County, Maryland. The church includes a 900-seat expandable sanctuary, k-8 classrooms, lobby, 150-seat multi-purpose room, gymnasium, and coffee lounge. The addition includes a tower that announces the entry and becomes a landmark for the City of Bowie. The lobby features a translucent panel skylight, fireplace & seating area, and an open stair that links upper and lower floors visually and functionally. The sanctuary, decorated with international flags representing the vibrant, diverse church population, was designed for contemporary-style worship with extensive media integration, and seats are spaced widely to allow for active worship.
