Glen Mar United Methodist Church

Glen Mar UMC reached out to WSA to design the interior renovation of their main Lobby and Gathering area, wanting guests to feel welcome, provide a clear sense of direction, indicate their core values and mission, and add warmth to the finishes of the space. The team used Glen Mar UMC’s mission statement to guide the design, “Praising God, Growing Disciples, Serving the World”, and generated a colorful radiating design, indicative of growth from the core that God provides for the world. New signage and directories provide clear way-finding, accent lighting adds warmth, renovated café space allows for serving guests, and personal stories of church members exhibited on the walls tell the story of the congregation. The flexible welcome desk was designed to be moveable in 4 pieces so the church can change the configuration as needed.
