Hunt Valley Church

Continuously maximizing the use of their current building, HVC hired WSA for master planning and design/engineering services for a 50,000 SF addition and 25,000 SF renovation of existing facility. WSA collaborated with the church to create a concept that was both “ancient” and “modern” in symbolism, aesthetically and functionally, while paying respect to the existing church’s character & variety of worship styles. The resulting design respectfully blends traditional building forms and materials of brick and stone found in the existing building, with modern floating ceilings, clean lines, third places, open floor plans, and extensive media integration, including environmental projection. The building program includes a new 800 seat sanctuary, stage, green room, fellowship hall, kitchen, classrooms, cafes, administrative offices, conference rooms, welcome center, gathering space with large fireplace, and new addition to the children’s wing, referred to as “party town.”
