Jesus House, Redeemed Christian Church of God, hired WSA to prepare the master plan, design, and construction documents for the Jesus House International Campus, a sixteen [16] acre, multi-phase project that includes a 2,500 seat worship space, a private K-8 school, café, banquet hall, classrooms, offices, and athletic fields. The placement and orientation of the buildings metaphorically reflects a descending dove which is central to the church denomination’s history. The plaza is an urban and lively landscaped gathering space representing a celebration of people worshiping, while the buildings will be built atop of a subgrade parking garage to maximize use of the site. The building is LEED Silver equivalent utilizing elements such as a green roof, permeable pavers, distributed bio-swales and small rain gardens among others.
