Wellwood International School Systemic Renovation

Waldon Studio Architects [WSA] worked closely with both JMT Engineers and Baltimore County Public Schools on this systemic school modernization for Wellwood International School. This project included full HVAC systemic upgrade and building automation for the 50,000 square feet. Architectural services included new ceilings, LED lighting, finishes, louvers and infill solutions where existing mechanical units were removed. New ceiling clouds in the cafeteria were designed to control noise and create an updated aesthetic. Bright colors were used to accentuate exposed structure and ductwork in a variety of spaces. Integrative solutions were used in the media center and administrative offices for wire management and concealing cabling. Roofing repairs and replacement were included in the scope of work where HVAC renovations occurred. WSA used BIM software to coordinate architecture, MEP and structural elements during design to reduce construction time and costs.
